#sunderlandhour networking meetingadmin
I invited blogger Rachel Chorlten Daily along to my business networking meeting on Tuesday and asked her to blog about the event.
Here it is. I love it. .. very personable
With so many dedicated hours on twitter its hard to remember them all, but one which always has my support is #sunderlandhour. Coincidently the hour is on Thursday 8-9, the same time as #nebloghour, but I still make the effort to nip over! Since its inception I’ve really seen the hour grow and made such a great friend and mentor in Helen Colquhoun who runs the hour as part of her business HJC Office Solutions. Sunderland really doesn’t get enough credit for the wonderful local entrepreneurs and businesses that we produce, and because it isn’t huge we have a great community.
On Tuesday I was delighted to be invited to Sunderland Hour’s third networking meeting, at The Chester’s on Chester Road. Helen asked me to blog about the event and chat to the attendees about blogging, luckily I only had to make a minutes speech as I was shaking like a leaf! The event started with everyone introducing themselves and telling us a bit about what they do, then we got to talk to each other and network properly combined with a lovely buffet from The Chesters. I got to meet and speak to so many fascinating professionals, who I swapped details with, suggested collaborations and laughed with.
The wheels are starting to be set in motion for Happy Little Syllables the business and I’m really excited to learn more and look into more networking. I had such a wonderful time at the networking meeting and I’m really looking forward to the next one.
